New England- RHODE ISLAND 15  VERMONT 5

         Rhode Island used a big 8 run 5th inning to beat Vermont 15-5 in the second day of the East Regional Softball Championship. Emma Burr was the winning pitcher she helped herself going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Rhode Island’s Genna Damato, Holly Cameron, Emma Lemoine all had two hits each in the win. Rhode Island is now 2-0 in New England Pool Play, they will face Maine Mnday at 3pm.
         Vermont falls to 0-and-2 in pool play they will face Connecticut Monday at 12:30pm. Vermont’s Ruby Dasaro, Aleta Deuso and Cora Thomas all had two hits each in the loss.
